Though I want to feel sorry for you I cannot. Between all the things you have written I was trying to find one small indication to know that you are sorry for what you have done. I did not find one. You are arrogant enough to blame the immigration laws for not permiting you to come to the US, but never really looked into your own flaws for flouting drug laws.
Besides, this is a forum for legal employment based immigrants. You may hardly find any resource here that will help you with what you want!

The government is telling my family I am not an adequate person to form a family with in the U.S. because I was deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana, yet it is granting the 212(d)(3) Waiver for Non-Immigrant Visas to Aliens deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana and who wish to travel to the U.S.. United States Citizens need an Immigrant Visas Waiver available to their Alien Immediate Relatives deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of Marijuana in order to even the scales on both U.S. citizen and Alien immigration privileges concerning Deported Aliens with a Drug-Related Offence of More than 30 Grams of Marijuana.
The way things are now U.S. citizens without a criminal conviction and with Alien Immediate Relatives are being discriminated against by their own government. The needs of deported Aliens with criminal convictions are being placed before their own.
It�s pure hypocrisy and it�s my family�s and my name being placed on the line.
I mean, really, how great can the U.S. be if it�s willing to lose their citizens to aliens like me when they decide to move outside of the United States to join their Immediate and shunned Alien Relatives? The U.S. government�s violation of my family�s civil human rights to liberty, freedom of expression and equality before the law is unwarranted. I don't know why some people here are taking this work based immigration here as an all out war. As it is, working and staying in the US or any other country for that matter by foreigners is a priviledge, not a right. No one forced us to come here, we came here on our own free will.
Regarding the description of discrimination of job based on country, that's rather ridiculous. There is no discrimination when one has the right to work and live in the country, that doesn't mean that anyone from any country can just come here and work with or without authorization and say it's discrimination. How about the many Indian companies who hire only Indians? Aren't they practising discrimination and fraud? They don't even bother to try to find qualified people in the country, rather they just issue H1Bs right way to Indian nationals only by just declaring a bogus "can't find qualified people in the country"
If we want good things to happen to us, we should be fair and not misuse and violate the laws of the country. We all have a choice, we can either stay here and be honest and follow the laws and rules of the country, or if we don't like the way things are here we can just go back home.
Sorry to be so honest, but I am tired of every other person cribbing about being victims. Looks like everyone wants to be a victim of something, it's time we take personal responsibility. If we don't like it here in the US, we have the choice to go back home. No one is forcing us to stay here.

Seriously I agree with you 90%. We should follow the rules and there are definitely companies and persons abusing the system. And these type of persons sometimes themselves were once immigrants waiting for green cards.
The 10% that I do not agree with is associated with the reality of working in a country for so long (6 or 7 years) but still not getting the green cards.
You are right that nobody force you to come here. But you decison to come here is based on certain assumptions (such as getting a green card within a reasonable timeframe and in an orderly way). But because of the chaos of the whole green card thing right now, you may not be able to get your green cards within a reasonable timeframe that you had planned, not because you screwed up (say changing the employer or making a huge mistake in your work). Rather it was either your employer or those government agencies screwed you up. I think it is really the chaotic situation, where honest, hard-working people who patienly wait in line are not getting what they deserve, that make people mad.
Everyone probably can think of many examples of such "unfairness". Truth is that the situation has come to a boiling point that people can hardly stand any more, esp. when the July VB fiasco happened.
To go one step further on your point, the whole world should have a better understanding and expectation of employment-based immigration to America. When the fact is out, it is really up to the indivdual to make an informed decision without complainting.

BTW, can you call and ask if you case is preadjudicated. In our case my #@$@ lawyer refuses call USCIS or allow us to initiate an SR (one of the reasons why we had no idea that we were stuck in namecheck)

We can demand a purple card for any techworker who had worked and paid taxes and contributed to Social Security and medicare for three continuous years. This card should allow free travel and work permit for spouse. Counterpart of blue card for illegals......Once the priority date becomes current and adjustment of status is complete, purple card is replaced by green card !!!!!!!!

The pace by which the Climate change and health plan bills are moving is pretty impressive, they should tackle that within a reasonable period of time, i have a strong feeling that CIR might be taken up this year, as all the dirt has been worked out in 2007, its just a question of political will, and with the hispanic vote swing that changed the face of the elections, the GOP might just swing the other way, you never know

I spoke to a staff at Michael R. McNulty's office.
He comes to Albany on weekends only.
Rest of the time (5 days a week) he is in Washington.
We can meet staff members any time betwenn 9 to 5 (no appointment required).
Spoke to staff member at Schumer's office.
He is not available for a meeting.
Have set up a meeting (with staff) for 12th April 11am (nothing available for next 2 weeks).
I was actually just trying to find out if we could schedule an appointment with Schumer. Did not expect them to set up an appointment on the phone so fast.
We can change if this is not convenient.
I am not sure if this is gonna help, as it is 2 weeks away.

Here is another part of story.
My PD was current back in 2004, this attorney/employer ignored my calls/emails from Oct to Dec 15. They filed my 485 during christmas week end, they screwed up something and USCIS rejected my application (thats what they say). Thanks to retrogession from Jan 2005. All my documents were ready by Oct. I would have had my EAD since 2005.
De javu, again I am being mandated to file thru same attorney. I don't have problem paying more money for a good attorney and good service.
I don't know if I am in a trap or something.

I talked to the employer and he says that this is a standard clause that is put in almost every company's offer letter. While I am experienced and dont need trainings, there are other candidate who will go through some trainings prior to start of work. The company does not want to loose the training costs incurred for those candidates who may leave them just after completing the training. And hence the clause.
I need one advise from you all...In case I do not take any training from the company, and decide to leave the company after some duration, will I be liable to pay something to the company considering the above clause? Is there a way the company can prove that I went through a training when I actually did not? Is my position safe?

A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D
Maybe he can come under asylum or refugee status; after all he also probably has two mother-in-laws there and that should qualify. One is bad enough, but TWO?
